but I keep slipping out
and falling back in
and the darkness

are like magic
in my life
making me feel
so vulnerable
and so invincible
at the same time
and I am full of gratitude
and despair
happiness and pain
though sometimes
I simply don’t know
what to do
I have absolutely
no clue
and I cry help help
I’m feeling so blue.

to paradise
green trees grey blue mountains
and the blazing sun
with the bird chirp
make it magic
and a few days ago
I saw a giant Malabar squirrel
maroon and brown and black
cross the road and later that evening
it hung motionless between the branches
of a bare tree for long barely moving
and now the wind is special like it is
desperately trying to tell a story
and these little girls go past my house
happy and running and soon
another little girl goes
beep beep beep beep and I smile.

and dancing
under the moonlight
on the streets
there is magic
in the air
that we breathe
there is the
ecstatic heartbeat
of the cosmos
and the world
is so beautifully
lit up
like a lover
and we are bathed
in stars like kisses
on our body
as we make love.

their innocent voices
so beautiful
with the bird chirp
in the background
and the silence
around this
is enchanted
it becomes magic
and I can hear
the trees whisper
love to each other
I can feel
the joyful heartbeat
of the mountains
and when I look out
my window
I can see the sun
wave out to me
from the sky
and shout
good morning
and I laugh
and wave back
at it with a kiss.

beautiful flowers
grow
and children
in boats row
I am cool and dark
I reflect the trees
and I am light
as I reflect the sky
and down
I am deep
and I feel
such solace
I am magic
and here above
I become
the laughter
of the kids
and transcend
myself in joy
and merge
with the cosmos
in flowing
ecstasy.

and in this element
I am magic
and it sends me
all the way
to the beginning
of time
and from there
I rhyme
all the way
to here
the winds blows
and I can feel it
touch me
and you will change
your life.
like a street at night
and children prance
about singing
the drums beat
and everything
is vibrant
I am so happy
I feel my mind
is made of honey
my body of water
flowing
I tingle bubbling
in joy
I am nothing
but magic.
I go walking
through fields
full of flowers
and butterflies
through valleys
of birdsong
and mountains
of magic
I begin to fly
and this is how
I would like to die
and go away
from this world.
each one its own song
and in the morning
the sun plays like a gong
and the world is joyous
we are as light as air
and the music is like magic
to which we sway
and go along the day
everyone their own way
and my pink roses bloom
seven of them
and their petals
become my eyes
and make me wise
and life I embrace
its happiness
in my hands
I have won the race.

and calmer
than ever
and new landscapes
I see
that arrange my mind
like magic
and the puzzle
is solved
I have no more
questions
I am at peace
and as I glide
I feel I have transcended
this world
and I laugh
and it echoes
all over the universe.
