Through Green Pastures

I go walking

through fields

full of flowers

and butterflies

through valleys

of birdsong

and mountains

of magic

I begin to fly

and this is how

I would like to die

and go away

from this world.

Rain Washes My Heart

it cleanses me

and makes

the world

green again

and I feel like

a drop of water

about to fall

and my life is

cool and fresh

like I was born

anew

and then I plummet

and splatter

on the ground

and sink in

tiny rivulets

of joy

and the Earth

sings in ecstasy.

All The World Is Green

and water

like magic

beauty

that makes

the blue sky

dance

and when I look

at the white clouds

floating

they wave and laugh

and I laugh too

and yellow butterflies

fly out of my mouth

like music.

The Forest Woke Up

to greet me this morning

all its trees swaying

and I in the midst of it

experiencing the magic of green

also this morning was special

because I woke up to this cuckoo singing

and the song was so sweet

its notes so melodious and beautiful

and varied like the world

I was waking up to outside

no musician could match it

and I felt my heart  become

a conch the bird was blowing

and I merged with the sound

of the universe breathing.

The Forests And Mountains

all around

are so beautiful to see

so green

and the weather

is so cool

I said to my neighbour

passing by

and he said yes

and smiled in mirth

this town of Kumily

is so charming

and today

they had lifted

the lockdown

just for one day

and its gorgeous

main street had

many shops open

and there were some

people on the road

but it was so different

from what life was earlier

without all these masks

and all this fear in our hearts

and so many people dead

even those we knew and loved

and those who are still

suffering from Covid

and the birds don’t know anything

they chirp as they did before

when we are all so gloomy and sad

O the world has gone mad

and everything that’s happening is so bad

and we weep and shake with sorrow for today

and for what will happen tomorrow.

The Rain

drenches the forests

and mountains

and it is green

all around

then the birds are so happy

they chirp and sing

and I watch the mist rising

from the hills

into the clouds

and the sky

and at some point

it merges with them

and that is so beautiful

I transcend myself

and am lost in it

and sadness is also like that

unpredictably it comes

upon you

as your body shakes

into sobs

and tears pour from your eyes

like rain.
