Happiness Is All These Children

here having fun

their innocent voices

so beautiful

with the bird chirp

in the background

and the silence

around this

is enchanted

it becomes magic

and I can hear

the trees whisper

love to each other

I can feel

the joyful heartbeat

of the mountains

and when I look out

my window

I can see the sun

wave out to me

from the sky

and shout

good morning

and I laugh

and wave back

at it with a kiss.

The Bright Blue Sky

calls out to me

this morning

Dominic come

and play with me

it says

and I smile

at its beauty

and begin to fly

towards the

firmament

and soon

we hug

each other

and dance in joy

and everyone

below looks

up at us

and starts to float

and the world

is so gorgeous now

we laugh and laugh

in ecstasy.

And The Darkness Rotates

in my eyes

till it fails to

disorient me

I have grown used to

the stars spinning

the streetlights

whirling like

dervishes

and the blackness

shaking like

the universe

was crying bitterly

and now I have no fear

I shout is this the end?

and my life is turning

the cosmos is burning

and I laugh and laugh

and laugh till I am gone.

This Is So Much Fun

making love to the world

how the sky sings

and the wind kisses me

and I feel my body tingling

and I say life I love you

and the mountains

laugh in gladness

and as I feel

one with the universe

I shudder in ecstasy

and the cosmos

shakes too

and everything

glows bright

and when

I touch my face

I find it has

become the moon.

I Go Deep Inside Myself

flying

and it is cooler

and calmer

than ever

and new landscapes

I see

that arrange my mind

like magic

and the puzzle

is solved

I have no more

questions

I am at peace

and as I glide

I feel I have transcended

this world

and I laugh

and it echoes

all over the universe.

The Sunlight Warms Our Neighbourhood

and I tell

Manikandan

that it was

late today

and he says yes

it took its time

and we laugh

and Noorja

is having breakfast

in her balcony

and we greet each other

and then she asks me

about my sister

who comes out

on the porch

and soon goes

to meet her

and the birds chirp

and the hawker

blows his horn

calling out

his wares

as I write this

and now

the quietness

fills my heart

with love.
