The Mind Is Independent

and it doesn’t tell you

its decisions

you don’t know

how it is set up

you don’t know

how it’s gonna act

it is mysterious

like an entity

all its own

saying its thoughts

as they come

and I want it

to work for me

so I have decided

to let it roam freely

let it breathe

let it rest

till it is refreshed

and takes me

to places

that are magical

where ecstatic

I go out of this world

and see what it’s like.
